Hastings Futures is a community-led enquiry project to prepare for a major, transformative town-wide engagement that will directly feed into Hastings town planning.
The project will consolidate and expand the diverse web of local people and assets that came to the fore in the Covid 19 emergency. Taking an asset-based approach it will 'join the dots' of existing projects, organisations and structures, interweaving varied but complementary approaches to take stock, reflect together and kickstart an inclusive process of holistic recovery that engages and is led by diverse local people. They will use four emergent pieces of social infrastructure – the Hastings Commons, Isolation Station Hastings, the Common Treasury of Adaptable Ideas, and HEART – along with a wide collaboration of other partners to host, promote and enable a 'pluriverse' of community conversations about the future of the town and the diversity of its people.
